New Delhi, June 9:

Come November this year, and fans of hard rock and heavy metal in the Northeast can literally brace up for ‘November Rain,’ and a lot more singles from popular American band, Guns N’ Roses. Yes, it’s official. Guwahati is set to play host to another major international music event featuring Axl Rose and company on November 17 this year.

Making the announcement on social media on Monday, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “Delighted to welcome the legendary Guns N’ Roses to Guwahati on November 17, 2026, bringing one of the world’s most iconic rock bands to Assam.”

“Following the historic success of Post Malone’s concert, Assam’s rise as a global live entertainment destination continues to gather momentum,” the chief minister stated.

“As fans travel from across India and beyond, they will experience Assam’s hospitality, culture and vibrancy, while creating new opportunities for tourism and the local economy,” Sarma stated.

Reports say that Guns N’ Roses will return to India as part of the Asia leg of their ongoing tour.

The rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985, will perform in Bengaluru on November 14 before flying to Guwahati where the band will perform at the Khanapara Ground.
