Chennai, June 9:

The Tamil Nadu government has released the approved fee structure for private schools for the 2026–27 academic year, making the details available online for parents and students.

The fee information has been published on the School Fee Determination Committee website, allowing users to check district-wise fee details of matriculation and other private schools across the State. The portal also includes fee data collected during the 2025–26 academic year.

Officials said the move aims to ensure transparency in fee collection and prevent private schools from charging excess or unapproved amounts. Parents can now verify official fee limits and compare school-wise structures through the online system.

Authorities also noted that schools were earlier instructed to display their approved fee details on campus notice boards, and the online system further strengthens accountability in the education sector.
