New Delhi, June 12:

India has strongly condemned a recent attack on a commercial vessel near the coast of Oman and called for immediate de-escalation and dialogue amid rising maritime tensions in the region.

According to official statements, this marks the third such incident involving commercial shipping in the area, raising serious concerns over the safety of Indian seafarers and the security of international sea routes.

The government has reiterated that attacks on civilian vessels are unacceptable and must cease immediately.

New Delhi has also urged all parties involved to pursue diplomatic engagement to restore stability, while emphasizing the need to protect the lives of seafarers and ensure uninterrupted global maritime trade.
