Chennai, June 13:
Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar has announced a two-day orientation training programme for Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to guide them on parliamentary practices and procedures.
The training sessions will be held on June 16 and 17 at Kalaivanar Arangam from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All MLAs have been invited to participate in the programme.
According to the Speaker, both newly elected and experienced MLAs are eligible to attend the training. The initiative aims to educate legislators on how to effectively conduct themselves in the Assembly.
Experts will provide guidance on key aspects such as how to speak in the Assembly, raise questions, and participate in discussions in a structured and effective manner.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay is expected to inaugurate the programme and deliver a special address at the event.
The orientation programme is part of the government’s effort to strengthen legislative functioning and improve the quality of debates and discussions in the Assembly.
