Chennai, June 17:

The Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) comprising Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have assured all customers of the continued and uninterrupted availability of petrol, diesel, LPG, and other petroleum products across the State of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry.

In a statement, V. C. Asokan, State Level Coordinator (SLC) for the Oil Industry in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, said OMCs continue to maintain adequate fuel stocks and are working round the clock to ensure seamless supplies.

In accordance with Government of India directives, and with a view to avoid diversions, all industrial, commercial, and institutional consumers are advised to source their fuel requirements strictly through their designated consumer pumps only, and not from Retail Outlets.

This regulatory measure is specifically aimed at ensuring that petrol and diesel supplies at Retail Outlets remain readily available for regular retail customers, including motorists, farmers, and public transport operators. The Oil Industry seeks the continued cooperation of all industrial and retail consumers in successfully implementing these measures to maintain distribution efficiency.
