Chennai, June 20:
The Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur will offer free entry to visitors on June 21 and 22 to mark Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s birthday, the Forest Department has announced.
Though entry will be free, visitors must obtain tickets in advance through the zoo’s online booking portal. A slot-based system will be followed to manage crowd flow, with 10,000 tickets allocated for both morning and afternoon sessions on each day.
The zoo will remain open from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., and ticket booking as well as entry will close at the same time. Visitors without internet access can collect tickets at the entrance counter.
Authorities have advised the public not to carry plastic-packed food, alcohol, tobacco products, or other prohibited items, and to avoid littering or feeding animals. Arrangements are being made with various departments to handle the expected surge in
