Chennai, June 23:
The Tamil Nadu government has announced a dedicated helpline number, 1091, for the Singappen Special Force, enabling the public to directly reach the special unit.
According to the announcement, every call made to 1091 will receive focused attention through a specially equipped state police control room. Information from incoming calls will be immediately relayed to the respective district police control rooms for swift action.
The helpline has also been integrated with the emergency number 112 Emergency Service to ensure faster communication and response during critical situations.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to strengthen public safety and improve rapid response mechanisms across the state.
