The teaser of Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku offers a gripping glimpse into an intense crime drama, with actor Vetri playing a death row prisoner haunted by a mysterious past. Directed by Dayal Padmanabhan, the film promises a powerful narrative centered on fate, choices, and consequences.
The two-minute teaser introduces Arivumathi, also known as Arivu, a prisoner lodged in Cuddalore jail. Through his reflections, he dismisses the idea of fate, asserting that individuals shape their own destinies. His life takes a tragic turn after a fateful decision leads him to commit murder, ultimately landing him behind bars and shattering his dreams.
The narrative also explores his relationship with Mallika, played by Brigida Saga, while adding tension through his interactions with the strict jailer Sivanandham, portrayed by Rangaraj Pandey.
Although the jailer appears willing to help, he remains cautious of Arivu’s intentions, especially when the prisoner attempts a daring escape to meet his family. The teaser culminates in a dramatic moment with the jailer aiming a gun at Arivu.
The film features a strong supporting cast including Saravanan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Lizzie Antony, Subramaniam Siva, and others. Backed by KV Shabarreesh under 2M Cinemas along with Dayal Padmanabhan’s D Pictures, the film brings together a notable technical team, with MV Panneerselvam handling cinematography and Darbuka Siva composing music.
Currently in post-production, Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku is slated for a theatrical release on June 25, raising expectations for a tense and emotionally charged cinematic experience.
