Chennai, June 26:
A heartwarming reunion between S. Ramadoss and his son Anbumani Ramadoss during a family celebration has drawn emotional responses from party members, with former MLA Arul urging unity within the party.
The occasion was the 61st wedding anniversary of Dr. Ramadoss, celebrated at his residence in Thailapuram near Tindivanam. Anbumani arrived with his wife Sowmiya and their three daughters. Upon seeing his father, he reportedly rushed forward, embraced him, and both were moved to tears, marking a deeply emotional moment after past differences.
Reacting to the reunion, Arul said that the father-son unity has brought immense happiness to party cadres. He called on all members to move forward together, leaving behind past differences.
He further remarked that had such unity prevailed earlier, the Pattali Makkal Katchi could have secured at least 10 seats in the Assembly elections. In such a scenario, he claimed, Sowmiya Anbumani might have become Deputy Chief Minister, and leaders like himself could have held ministerial positions.
Arul expressed regret that the opportunity was missed, but emphasized that the renewed bond offers hope for a stronger and united future for the party.
