Chennai, July 3:
Former Tamil Nadu Minister E.V. Velu did not appear before the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) officials for inquiry, citing health issues, according to sources.
Information indicates that his side has communicated the reason for his absence to officials. A request has reportedly been made seeking a fresh date to appear for the inquiry.
Sources further said that his legal counsel is expected to approach DVAC authorities to seek time, possibly requesting an appearance on Monday or another convenient date.
Meanwhile, DMK lawyer Wilson is said to be visiting the DVAC office today to hold discussions with officials regarding the matter.
