Actor Ravi Mohan is set to collaborate with debut director GND Shyam Kumar for his upcoming project, and reports suggest that Sobhita Dhulipala is being considered as the female lead.
The film, likely to be titled White, is backed by Romeo Pictures. While the makers are yet to confirm the casting, industry buzz indicates that talks are underway to bring Sobhita on board. If finalised, this will mark the duo’s second collaboration after Ponniyin Selvan: I and Ponniyin Selvan: II, directed by Mani Ratnam.
Sources also suggest that music for the film could be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, though an official announcement is awaited. The project has reportedly gone on floors quietly, with further details being kept under wraps.
Ravi Mohan was last seen in Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, where he played the antagonist alongside Sivakarthikeyan. He has a packed lineup ahead, including Karathey Babu (releasing August 28), his directorial debut An Ordinary Man, and Benz.
Meanwhile, Sobhita, known for her performance in the series Made in Heaven, was last seen in the Telugu thriller Cheekatilo. She also has Vettuvam, directed by Pa. Ranjith, awaiting release.
An official confirmation on the casting and crew of White is expected soon.
