The makers of Vishwanath And Sons have postponed the release of its much-awaited second single, featuring vocals by Suriya.
Initially scheduled to drop on July 23 to coincide with the actor’s birthday, the full track will now be released on July 25, the production house Sithara Entertainments announced. A promo of the song, however, will be unveiled as planned.
Composer G. V. Prakash Kumar had earlier confirmed the birthday release, building strong anticipation among fans, especially since the track features Suriya’s own vocals. The banner has described the song as a “full-blown banger” and a “visual delight,” hinting at a high-energy number aimed at topping music charts.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead and explores an unconventional love story. The ensemble cast includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon—marking her return to Tamil cinema after Aalavandhan—and Yogi Babu.
The second single also features lyrics by actor-director Ken Karunaas. Suriya, who has previously lent his voice to songs in films like Anjaan and Soorarai Pottru, continues his musical streak with this track.
Vishwanath And Sons is slated for a theatrical release on August 14, riding on the momentum of Suriya’s recent blockbuster Karuppu.
