The United States carried out a fresh wave of airstrikes on Iran for the 13th consecutive night, intensifying an already volatile conflict after a ceasefire collapsed.
According to US Central Command, the strikes targeted Iranian military infrastructure with the aim of reducing threats posed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping. The confrontation has expanded beyond Iran, with missile and drone attacks reported in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, while Iranian-aligned Houthi forces have struck oil tankers in the Red Sea.
Tensions have sharply escalated around the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy route, raising fears of disruption to oil supplies. Both sides have reported casualties, and with neither showing signs of backing down, the prolonged exchange of strikes has heightened concerns about a wider regional war.
