Chennai, July 25:

Senior IAS officer Rajesh Lakhoni, who recently returned to the Tamil Nadu cadre after completing his Central deputation, has been appointed as the Commissioner for Land Administration (CLA).

According to an order issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar on Friday (July 24), Lakhoni has been posted to the key revenue department position, which had fallen vacant following the transfer of R. Gajalakshmi.

In another significant administrative reshuffle, A. Sivagnanam, who served as the Additional Chief Electoral Officer during the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Disaster Management.

The appointments are part of the State government’s efforts to strengthen key administrative departments, particularly land administration and disaster management, which play crucial roles in governance and emergency response.
