Chennai, July 25:
The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) has announced statewide protests across all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu on July 27, demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan and the abolition of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
Party leader Thol. Thirumavalavan said the protests were triggered by the alleged NEET question paper leak, which he claimed had impacted lakhs of students and disrupted Parliament proceedings for several days.
He also alleged that the Delhi Police used excessive force against students and activists protesting in the national capital.
Reiterating the party’s stand, he said the VCK opposes NEET nationwide and called for a broader movement seeking its complete abolition, expressing confidence that the Union government led by Narendra Modi would eventually be forced to act.
