The makers of the upcoming romantic drama Once More, starring Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar in the lead, have announced that the film will hit theatres on August 28.
Written and directed by debutant Vignesh Srikanth, Once More centres on a love story between two individuals from starkly different worlds. The narrative follows the journey of the lead characters as they fall in love despite having contrasting personalities, family backgrounds, and social circles. The film explores what happens when these differences collide, forming the crux of the story.
The project, which was first announced in July 2024, went on floors soon after. Initially planned for a summer release earlier this year, the film is now set for a late August theatrical debut. Apart from Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar, the film also features actor Sona Olickal in a prominent role.
The film’s music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, known for his work in films such as Hridayam (2022) and Maaman (2025). Interestingly, director Vignesh Srikanth has also penned the lyrics for the songs, adding a personal creative touch to the project’s soundtrack.
On the technical front, Once More boasts a crew that includes cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, editor Nash, and art director Raj Kamal. The film is produced by Yuvaraj Ganesan under the Million Dollar Studios banner.
Arjun Das was last seen in the heist comedy Con City, while Aditi Shankar, who made her Telugu debut with Bhairavam (2025), was most recently seen in Nesippaya (2025).
With its focus on romance across contrasting worlds and a fresh directorial voice, Once More is shaping up to be an interesting addition to the slate of Tamil releases this season.
