Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Thursday lauded the State’s Revised Budget for 2026–27 and the Agriculture Budget, stating that both documents reflect a clear focus on growth and people-centric governance.
In a statement, the Chief Minister congratulated Finance, Planning and Development Minister N. Mariya Wilson for presenting the Revised Budget within three months of assuming office, noting that it has been widely appreciated for its emphasis on the State’s development and public welfare.
He also commended Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister R. Vinoth for presenting a comprehensive Agriculture Budget aimed at strengthening the farm sector and allied activities.
The Chief Minister said the Revised Budget, with its forward-looking vision, offers renewed hope for the progress of all sections of society, including students, youth, women, children, persons with disabilities, trans persons, workers, fishermen, weavers, entrepreneurs and government employees.
Highlighting the Agriculture Budget, he said it has been designed to boost not only agricultural growth but also allied sectors such as livestock, fisheries, dairy, food processing and value addition, thereby improving the livelihoods and welfare of farmers across Tamil Nadu.
“Let our journey towards a prosperous Tamil Nadu continue,” he said.
