TN CM to chair MPs’ meet on delimitation

Chennai, Aug 7:

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay will chair a consultation meeting of Members of Parliament from the State on August 8 to discuss the Union Government’s proposed delimitation exercise and its potential impact on Tamil Nadu.

The meeting, involving Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs from Tamil Nadu, is scheduled to be held at 3 pm at the conference hall on the third floor of Kalaivanar Arangam in Chepauk, Chennai.

According to an official release, the Union Government has initiated steps towards the delimitation of constituencies. In view of this, the Chief Minister has convened the meeting to deliberate on the issue and assess its implications for the State.

Invitations have been sent to all MPs from Tamil Nadu through Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi.

The release was issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Chennai.
