Cascais, Aug 12:
Portugal’s popular footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez have tied the knot in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, ending years of speculation over their wedding.
The couple reportedly married on August 11, with their five children present. Ronaldo, 41, and Rodriguez, 32, later confirmed the marriage by sharing a simple photograph of their hands wearing wedding bands.
The couple first met in 2016 when Rodriguez was working at a Gucci store. They made their first public appearance together in 2017 and went on to build a family while largely keeping their private life away from the spotlight.
Their wedding followed months of speculation, including a bizarre false alarm in Madeira, where crowds gathered expecting Ronaldo and Rodriguez to marry at Funchal’s cathedral. The bride turned out to be another woman, Nicole, marrying her partner Fabio.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025. They share daughters Alana and Bella and also raise Ronaldo’s eldest son Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo.
