Chennai, Aug 12:
Makkal Needhi Maiam president and Rajya Sabha MP Kamal Haasan on Tuesday welcomed the unanimous passage of two resolutions in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, seeking the scrapping of NEET and withdrawal of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) amendment.
In a post on X, Kamal said it was encouraging that the resolutions had received the support of all political parties in Tamil Nadu except the BJP.
He congratulated the Tamil Nadu government for securing the consensus and said the spirit of unity in safeguarding Tamil Nadu’s interests should continue.
