Mysskin’s long-delayed action thriller Train, starring Vijay Sethupathi, is likely to hit theatres on August 26 or 28, according to the filmmaker. Speaking in a recent interview, Mysskin expressed confidence in the film while describing it as an artistically conceived project rather than a conventional commercial entertainer.
Mysskin revealed that Train contains a staggering 2,198 shots, compared with the usual 450–600 shots in a feature film. He also said the team used a new camera and lens and, for the first time in India, created and filmed an entire eight-compartment train. Two floors at the shooting location were reportedly demolished to accommodate the elaborate train set, with the director promising several major action sequences.
Starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, Train revolves around a high-stakes situation aboard a moving train and promises an intense action thriller. The ensemble cast includes Shruti Haasan, Narain, Nasser, Sampath Raj, Yugi Sethu, KS Ravikumar and Kalaiyarasan. Produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu under V Creations, the film has music by Mysskin, cinematography by Fowzia Fathima and editing by Sri Watson. Mysskin has also assured audiences that the film can be watched by families and said those who spend money on it “won’t regret it.”
