The first single from Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2, titled Ala Bolelo, has been released, offering fans an energetic musical preview of Nelson Dilipkumar’s much-awaited sequel.
Composed and sung by Anirudh Ravichander, the peppy track comes with a lively dance presentation featuring Rajinikanth and Shamna Kasim. Actress Poorna is also seen in the song in a traditional kasavu saree, adding a distinct festive flavour to the visuals.
The song carries a noticeable Malayalam flavour, making its release particularly timely for audiences in Kerala as the Onam celebrations get underway.
The lyrics for Ala Bolelo have been penned by Arunraja Kamaraj, while Niranjana Raman, Aparna Harikumar and Deepthi Suresh have contributed additional vocals.
The track marks another collaboration between Anirudh and Rajinikanth following the hugely successful soundtrack of the first Jailer. The composer-singer’s energetic vocals and pulsating music give the song a celebratory feel, while Rajinikanth’s presence adds to its star appeal.
The release of Ala Bolelo also marks the beginning of the musical promotions for Jailer 2, increasing anticipation around the sequel.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 brings Rajinikanth back as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, the character that became a major part of the superstar’s recent screen journey.
Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik are among the actors reprising their roles from the first film. The sequel has also expanded its ensemble with prominent names including S. J. Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
The film is expected to take forward the story of the original Jailer, while also retaining several elements that generated considerable excitement around the sequel. Returning appearances by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff are among the much-discussed attractions of the film.
The first Jailer, released in 2023, became one of the biggest commercial successes of Rajinikanth’s career, with Muthuvel Pandian emerging as a popular character among audiences.
With Ala Bolelo, the makers have chosen an upbeat and dance-oriented track to kick-start the promotional campaign for the sequel. The combination of Anirudh’s music, Rajinikanth’s screen presence and the Malayalam touch is also expected to appeal strongly to audiences in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Jailer 2 is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on October 15, 2026.
