Tamil suspense-thriller series Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani has emerged as a global hit, ranking No. 2 among Non-English series worldwide on Prime Video within two weeks of its August 7 premiere.
The eight-episode second season has also become the platform’s No. 1 scripted title globally. Streaming in Tamil with Telugu and Hindi dubs and subtitles in 15 languages, the series has reached audiences across India and more than 240 countries and territories.
Created, written and directed by Andrew Louis, Vadhandhi 2 features M. Sasikumar as SI Moosa Raza, an honest and relentless police officer investigating skeletal remains discovered during a highway project inauguration in Madurai. His probe leads him to an elusive prisoner named Mani.
Set against the backdrop of Madurai and the Jallikattu festival, the season explores the conflict between rumour and reality through layered characters and an emotionally charged mystery.
Produced by Wallwatcher Films with Pushkar and Gayatri as creative producers, the series also stars Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma and Arjun Nandhakumar.
