“Once More came to me when I was down in life. Playing Anjali healed me and helped me so much.” For Aditi Shankar, her upcoming film Once More was more than another acting assignment. The actress says the character of Anjali came into her life at a difficult time and helped her emotionally. In this conversation, Aditi opens up about the film, director Vignesh Srikanth and working with Arjun Das.
Q: You have said that playing Anjali was a healing experience. What made the character special?
A: Once More came to me when I was down in life. Playing Anjali healed me and helped me so much. I am genuinely grateful that I got this opportunity at that particular point in my life. The character became very special to me because of the way I connected with her.
Q: What would you like to say about director Vignesh Srikanth?
A: Srikanth sir has given his blood, sweat, heart and heartbreak to this movie. He has put so much of himself into Once More. I am truly grateful that he trusted me with this opportunity and believed that I could play Anjali.
Q: You have also thanked the producer for giving the director this opportunity.
A: Absolutely. I want to thank producer Yuvraj sir for giving Srikanth this opportunity. Because of that, we are able to bring Once More to audiences. I am happy to be part of this journey.
Q: How was your experience working with Arjun Das?
A: Working with Arjun has been a wonderful experience. The film has given both of us an opportunity to explore our characters and their emotions. I hope audiences enjoy watching us together.
Q: What can audiences expect from Once More?
A: It is a romantic drama with emotions at its heart. I don’t want to reveal too much because audiences should experience the story themselves. I can only say that it is a very special film for all of us.
Q: What does Once More mean to you personally?
A: It means much more than just another film in my career. The timing of the film, the character and the people I worked with made it a very meaningful experience. I will always be thankful to Srikanth sir for giving me Anjali.
Once More, starring Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar, is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on August 28. The film also features Sona Olickal in a pivotal role and marks Malayalam composer Hesham Abdul Wahab’s Tamil debut.
