The teaser of actor Soori’s upcoming Tamil film Mandaadi has been released, offering a glimpse into a story centred on a traditional boat race associated with Tamil Nadu’s coastal communities. The film is directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, who made his directorial debut with Selfie, and is produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner.
Soori leads the cast, with Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindra Vijay, Bala Saravanan and Stun Siva among others in important roles. The film combines a sporting backdrop with action and drama, with its setting rooted in the coastal culture of Tamil Nadu.
GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music, while SR Kathir is the cinematographer and Pradeep E Ragav handles editing. Action sequences have been choreographed by Peter Hein, Dilip Subbarayan and Mahesh Mathew. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on September 4.
