Gurugram, Sept 2:
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded its highest-ever domestic sales for an August, selling 54,396 units in August 2026, marking a 23.6% year-on-year growth.
The company’s total sales, including exports, rose 8.8% year-on-year to 65,796 units. Of the total, domestic sales accounted for 54,396 units, while exports stood at 11,400 units.
HMIL said it continued its growth momentum in FY2027, with domestic sales rising 12.6% year-on-year during April-August.
Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO Tarun Garg said the record August domestic sales reflected continued demand for the company’s product portfolio.
Exports during the month were affected by logistical constraints arising from the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the broader geopolitical environment, Garg said, adding that the company remained optimistic about export demand improving as conditions stabilise.
