The team of Hi, starring Nayanthara and Kavin, met members of the press and media on Thursday to thank them for their support following the film’s successful theatrical release.
Directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan, Hi was released worldwide on August 28 and has been receiving positive responses from audiences and critics. The film is being presented as a family entertainer and is currently running to encouraging crowds.
Producer S.S. Lalit Kumar thanked the media for helping take the film to audiences. He said the team wanted to make a good story-driven film that families could enjoy and expressed happiness over the response.
Cinematographer Rajesh Shukla and music composer Jen Martin also thanked the team and audiences. Martin said Hi marks his fourth collaboration with Kavin and Vishnu Edavan. He recalled that he and Kavin had been school friends and had once dreamed of becoming an actor and music composer respectively.
Actress Amrutha Srinivasan described Hi as a feel-good film and praised the director for carefully crafting every frame. Actors Qureshi and Kavya also thanked the team for giving them opportunities to play important roles.
Director Vishnu Edavan said the success was particularly special as Hi is his first film. He thanked the producers, actors and technicians for trusting him and said the film’s success belonged to everyone who had supported the project.
Veteran actors Radhika Sarathkumar, Suhasini and Prabhu congratulated the team. Radhika praised the film’s success amid challenging circumstances, while Suhasini said the team deserved to celebrate the positive response. Prabhu lauded Kavin’s performance and appreciated the contributions of the entire crew.
Kavin thanked audiences and the media for their support, saying he was delighted to see families enjoying the film in theatres. He urged audiences to watch Hi during the weekend, saying the film was made to provide a simple, enjoyable and emotional experience for families.

Rajesh Shukla has handled cinematography, while Jen Martin has composed the music and Philomin Raj has edited the film.
