clarification, saying that Chief Minister Vijay himself had asked that the DMK members be allowed to speak. The statement indicated that the Chief Minister was not opposed to the Opposition being given an opportunity to present its views.
Despite this, the DMK members continued their protest, maintaining that Udhayanidhi had been denied a proper opportunity to respond to the Chief Minister.
The protest eventually culminated in a walkout, with the DMK MLAs leaving the Assembly in protest against the Speaker’s decision.
