Actor Dhruv Vikram’s upcoming film with writer-director Karan Arvind Kumar has been titled Jackie. The announcement was made by production house Mythri Movie Makers, which also unveiled a comic book-inspired poster featuring Dhruv in a striking action avatar.
The makers describe the film as an āout and out commercial entertainerā and a stylish, action-driven project. The poster presents Dhruv preparing for a physical confrontation, while the tagline āNo Retakes Allowedā hints at the film’s mass-oriented approach.
The film will feature Dhruv in the titular role and is being positioned as a larger-than-life mass entertainer. However, the makers are yet to reveal details about the storyline or announce the complete cast.
Jackie is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. The production house has previously backed Tamil films including Dude, Good Bad Ugly and Modha Rathri.
Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music, while Viki handles cinematography. Jayasuriya S is the editor and GM Sekhar is the production designer. Popular stunt director Vikram Mor is choreographing the action sequences.
Dhruv was last seen in Mari Selvaraj’s Bison Kaalamaadan, in which he played a character inspired by Arjuna Award-winning kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan. The film also featured Pasupathy, Ameer, Rajisha Vijayan, Anupama Parameswaran and Lal.
