Hyundai Motor India on Tuesday announced the name of its much-awaited upcoming intelligent SUV as Hyundai BAYON, marking the arrival of a new global SUV in the company’s Indian line-up.
Hyundai said BAYON represents a new approach to intelligent mobility, combining technology, design and emotion while being developed for the evolving needs of Indian customers. The company is expected to reveal more details about the SUV in the coming weeks.
Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg said BAYON represents a new mindset focused on creating intelligent, intuitive and meaningful mobility experiences. He said the company has focused on making technology effortless and seamlessly integrated into everyday use.
The name BAYON is inspired by Bayonne, a city in France’s Basque Country, known for its distinctive character and dynamic spirit. Hyundai said the name reflects its global design philosophy while signalling a new spirit of adventure.
The name reveal was accompanied by a film depicting a futuristic world in which intelligent elements come together to form the name BAYON, ending with the message “Intelligence ON”. More details about the SUV will be announced in the coming days.
