The latest chapter in the popular Resident Evil franchise is set to release in India on September 18. Directed by Zach Cregger of Barbarian and Weapons fame, the horror survival thriller stars Austin Abrams in the lead.
The film follows Bryan (Abrams), a medical courier who finds himself caught in a terrifying night of chaos, forcing him into a desperate fight for survival. The cast also includes Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, Paul Walter Hauser and Johnno Wilson.
Produced by Columbia Pictures and Constantin Film, the film will be released by Sony Pictures Entertainment India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, exclusively in cinemas.
Two trailers have already been released, offering glimpses of the filmās intense action, mutated creatures and suspense-filled world. Unlike earlier instalments, the new film tells a fresh story, allowing even newcomers to the franchise to watch it without having seen the previous Resident Evil movies.
