Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi, who has directed and played the lead in ‘Meesaya Murukku 2’, said he plans to focus more on gaana music over the next four years. The film’s press meet was held in Chennai on Thursday. The film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on September 25.
Speaking at the event, Aadhi praised actress Chaithra Achar for her performance and said she had learned Tamil and dubbed her own portions for the film. He said he had been impressed by her performance in a Kannada film and therefore offered her a challenging role in ‘Meesaya Murukku 2’.
Choreographer Baba Baskar said Aadhi had initially approached him to choreograph a song but later offered him a strong character in the film. He said he was initially nervous about taking up the role but Aadhi brought out the best in him as a director.
Aadhi also praised Yogi Babu for playing a character role without ego and for guiding Harshath Khan, who plays a comedy role in the film. He said he had given importance to hip-hop music during the first 10 years of his career and would now concentrate on gaana music for the next four years.
