CHENNAI:
The Airports Authority of India is set to acquire around 19 acres of land at a cost of Rs 278 crore to address congestion at the cargo terminal of Chennai Airport.
The proposed land acquisition is aimed at improving infrastructure and easing congestion around the airport’s cargo operations. The move comes as Chennai Airport continues to handle growing passenger and cargo activity.
The additional land is expected to support the expansion and improvement of facilities connected with cargo movement and help streamline operations at the airport.
