Chennai, Sept 22:
Two Indian flying students one each from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, were killed in an air accident during flight training at Toronto in Canada on Monday, the Indian Embassy in Vancouver said.
They were identified as Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham, it said in a social media post and offered its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
The Indian Consulate also assured all assistance to the families to repatriate their mortal remains to India.
“The Consulate General of India, Vancouver, expresses its deepest condolences on the tragic demise of Shri Manoj Sivakumar and Shri Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham, two Indian students from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, who lost their lives in a tragic air accident in Canada during their flight training.”
“Our heartfelt sympathies are with their bereaved families and loved ones during this difficult time”, it said.
“The Consulate stands ready to extend all possible consular assistance to the families in connection with the repatriation of the mortal remains to India. May the departed souls rest in peace”, the post said.
