Director Bharatbala Ganapathy has dedicated his National Award for Ramnami to the Ramnami community and its living traditions. The documentary won Best Documentary at the 72nd National Film Awards and explores the lives and faith of the community in Chhattisgarh.
Bharatbala, known for directing Maryan, said the honour belongs to the people who trusted him to tell their story. He described their journey as one of devotion, resilience and human dignity.
