London,Sept 29:
England will begin their next phase of 50-over preparations without Jos Buttler, who has been ruled out of the upcoming Pakistan tour because of a hamstring injury.
Buttler suffered the injury during England’s ODI against Sri Lanka and has not been included for the Pakistan tri-series. Brendon McCullum said the absence would give England an opportunity to assess other options ahead of the next World Cup.
England’s white-ball side has enjoyed a strong run this year, winning all six of its bilateral ODI series. The team is now looking to build greater depth and fitness as preparations continue.
