India opened Day 11 of the Asian Games with a silver medal in the women’s trap team event, with Neeru Dhanda, Manisha Keer and Aashima Ahlawat finishing second behind China.
The Indian trio combined for 328 points, while China took gold with 346. Kuwait won bronze with 325 points.
Neeru was particularly impressive on the range and also qualified for the individual final after finishing joint-second in qualification with a score of 118 out of 125. The result gives India another opportunity for a medal in the individual trap competition.
The shooting result adds to India’s medal haul in Aichi-Nagoya, with the Indian shooters continuing to make a significant contribution to the country’s campaign.
