New Delhi,Ā Oct 3:
The Union government has approved an increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for all mandated Rabi crops for the 2027-28 marketing season.
The decision has been welcomed by farmers in several states, who said the higher support prices would provide greater clarity while planning crop cultivation and diversification.
Farmers in Rajasthan, where rainfall deficiency has affected agricultural planning, said the MSP increase would provide some relief and help them plan their Rabi crops.
The decision covers the major Rabi crops for which the Centre announces MSPs. The move comes ahead of the Rabi sowing season, when farmers begin making decisions on crop selection and acreage.
