Actor Sivakarthikeyan described himself as a “people-made star” while addressing his fans at a gathering in Porur on Sunday, saying his journey and stardom would not have been possible without their support.
Responding to criticism directed at him, Sivakarthikeyan said those who were determined to criticise him would continue to do so regardless of what he said or did. He said the gathering was a celebration of the mutual affection between him and his fans and stressed the need to remain clear about its purpose.
The actor also provided an update on his upcoming film Seyon, saying around 60 per cent of the project has been completed. He described the film as a blend of action and entertainment and said it would be made with his fans’ expectations in mind.
Seyon was earlier expected to hit screens in October 2026, but Sivakarthikeyan said the film is now being planned as a Pongal 2027 release.
Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who made his debut with Thaai Kizhavi starring Radhika Sarathkumar, the film has a sizeable ensemble cast. Raj B Shetty, Bhagyashri Borse, Seeman, Bala Saravanan, Arul Doss and Singampuli are part of the project.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in Parasakthi. Meanwhile, his other upcoming project with Parking fame director Ramkumar Balakrishnan, referred to as SK27, has also commenced production.
