Lahore, Oct 6:
Pakistan have appointed Sahibzada Farhan as their new T20I captain, with the opener taking charge ahead of the team’s upcoming series against Sri Lanka.
Farhan was the leading run-scorer at the 2026 T20 World Cup and has now been handed the responsibility of leading Pakistan in the shortest format.
The change comes with Salman Ali Agha being dropped from the T20I squad, while Shaheen Shah Afridi continues as Pakistan’s ODI captain.
Farhan’s appointment gives Pakistan a new leadership option as the team looks to build towards its next phase in T20 cricket.
