Actor Sibiraj has ventured into film production with the launch of his new banner, Underdog Films, marking a new phase in his career.
The actor announced the production house on his birthday and revealed that its maiden venture, tentatively titled Production No. 1, is already under way. Sibiraj will not only produce the film but will also play the lead role.
The film is being directed by Eashvar Karthic, who made his directorial debut with Penguin and subsequently directed the Telugu thriller Zebra. Sibiraj is producing the project along with his wife, Revathi Sibiraj.
The makers have kept details about the film’s genre, storyline, cast and technical crew under wraps for now. Further announcements are expected in the coming days.
Sibiraj began his acting career with Student Number 1 in 2003 and has subsequently appeared in films including Naanayam, Naaigal Jaakirathai, Sathya, Walter and Kabadadaari. His most recent release was the 2025 thriller Ten Hours.
With Underdog Films, Sibiraj now takes on a new responsibility behind the camera while continuing as an actor, with his first production bringing him together with Eashvar Karthic for a project that has already generated interest among film audiences.
