The first single from Suriya’s upcoming film Scene will be released on October 8, with the song titled Aathi Iva Yarraa.
The song has been composed by Sushin Shyam, and the announcement was made by Suriya’s production banner Zhagaram Studios on Tuesday through a new poster.
Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Jithu Madhavan of Romancham and Aavesham fame, Scene marks his Tamil directorial debut. The film stars Suriya alongside Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, while Anandraj, Lal and Raj Priyan are also part of the cast.
The film is produced by Suriya and Jyotika under Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment, with Jaishree Damodaran as co-producer. Vineeth Augustian is the cinematographer, Ajmal Sabu is the editor and Ashwini Kale is the production designer.
The makers have maintained secrecy around the plot, though the recently released teaser confirmed that Suriya plays a police officer. There has also been speculation about Naslen’s role, but the producers are yet to reveal details.
Scene, which marks Suriya’s 47th film as an actor, is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 6, ahead of Deepavali. The release of Aathi Iva Yarraa is expected to provide the first major glimpse into the film’s musical world.
