The team of Anbil Avan, which has been receiving a positive response in theatres, held a thanksgiving meet in Chennai to thank the media and audiences.
Produced by Ayngaran International and Happy High Pictures and directed by R Karthikeyan, the Ashok Selvan and Preethi Mukundan-starrer was released on October 2.
Producer and actor Ashok Selvan said the film, which begins as a love story before moving into thriller and action, has reached the profitable stage despite tough competition. Director Karthikeyan thanked Ashok Selvan for giving him the opportunity and said the response to the characters had been encouraging.
Preethi Mukundan said the response from women and young audiences was particularly moving, while producer Abhinaya Selvam said discussions were underway for a Hindi remake and a Telugu version. The team expressed hope that the film would reach more viewers and remain a memorable story about love and relationships.
