The upcoming film starring Soori and Rajisha Vijayan, directed by Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame, went on floors on Wednesday with a launch ceremony. Tentatively titled Soori 07, the film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind Good Bad Ugly, Dude and the recent hit Modha Rathri.
Speaking at the launch, Ravikumar praised Soori’s phenomenal growth as an actor and said it placed greater responsibility on him as a filmmaker. The project marks Ravikumar’s third directorial venture after Indru Netru Naalai (2015) and Ayalaan (2024).
The film is Soori’s seventh as a lead actor, following the two Viduthalai films, Garudan, Kottukkaali, Maaman and Mandaadi. He was recently seen alongside Nivin Pauly in Ram’s Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. Rajisha Vijayan was last seen in Masthiska Maranam and made a cameo appearance in Sardar 2. Details of the remaining cast and crew are yet to be announced.
