Drones is a delightfully quirky horror-comedy that blends fantasy, humour, romance and a meaningful social message into an entertaining family drama.

Director Raghav Mirdath brings together an unusual mix of characters and bizarre situations, creating a film that gradually finds its rhythm and leaves the audience with a warm message about beauty, acceptance and self-worth.

Dravid Selvam, Anjali Nair and RJ Deepak make an engaging trio, with their chemistry and comic timing adding considerable energy to the narrative. Anjali Nair stands out with a strong performance, particularly in the emotionally charged sequences that address society’s obsession with fair skin and conventional beauty standards. Her character’s journey gives the film its emotional depth.

Siddhi Idnani brings charm to her role, while Devadarshini adds a delightful mix of menace and humour as the witch. Cinemawala Sathish is equally enjoyable in a supporting role, and Kuraishi lends a distinctive touch to the film’s eccentric world.

What makes Drones appealing is its willingness to embrace absurdity while keeping its storytelling light-hearted and accessible.

The film’s imaginative premise, recurring comic situations and quirky characters offer plenty of amusing moments, while its underlying message gives the fantasy a deeper purpose.

Without relying heavily on graphic horror or excessive visual effects, it delivers an enjoyable theatrical experience.

Drones may be unconventional, but its blend of laughter, fantasy and social commentary makes it a refreshing entertainer with a heart.
