Chennai, Oct 27:
Aavin has announced a price increase for several dairy products, including ghee, palkova, Mysore pak and lassi, with the revised rates coming into effect on October 28, ahead of the Diwali festival.
Under the revision, the price of a one-litre pack of Aavin ghee has been increased by Rs 80 to Rs 770. The increase comes at a time when demand for ghee and traditional sweets typically rises as households prepare for the festival.
Aavin has also revised the prices of other dairy products, including palkova, Mysore pak and lassi. However, the specific revised prices of these products were not detailed in the report.
The price increase is expected to affect consumers purchasing dairy products and sweets for household use and festive celebrations. Ghee is widely used in preparing traditional sweets and savouries, while palkova and Mysore pak are popular purchases during the Diwali season.
Consumers have been advised to check the revised prices at Aavin outlets before making purchases. The new rates take effect on Wednesday.
