Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi is set to make his Netflix debut as a talk show host with ‘Chiranjeevi’s Megaverse’, a new non-fiction series celebrating the legacy of Telugu cinema.
Netflix announced the project on Thursday and unveiled the first poster featuring the veteran actor. Filming is currently under way. The show will bring together candid conversations, personal anecdotes and stories about prominent personalities who have shaped the Telugu film industry.
Actors Brahmanandam, Sunil and Satya are expected to feature among the initial guests. The complete guest list and premiere date are yet to be announced.
Produced by Gold Box Entertainments, Atom Media Ventures and Sol Production LLP, the show will offer viewers an opportunity to see a different side of Chiranjeevi, drawing on his nearly five-decade journey in cinema and his association with several generations of filmmakers and artistes.
Chiranjeevi is not new to television hosting. He previously presented ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’, the Telugu adaptation of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. With ‘Megaverse’, he will now explore the talk-show format for a global OTT audience.
The actor was last seen in ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ and has ‘Vishwambhara’ and ‘Kaaka’ among his upcoming projects.
