Chennai: Mid Valley integrated dairy farm has announced the launch of its milk processing and packaging facility at Arumbavur Village in Perambalur District, for its new product Happy Tales milk.
Mid Valley has setup in a 100 acre property comprising of milk processing, chilling plant apart from its packaging facility, the release said.
The firm also plans to manufacture milk products like paneer, ghee, butter, ice cream etc. In the next two years Mid Valley will adding over 1,000 cows to the farm so that the farm will be able to produce about 10,000 liters per day by 2020.
āIn Chennai alone, there is a consumption of 20 lakh litres of milk everyday, with 40 per cent consumers consuming milk produced by private companies. There is a growing demand for fresh milk and assuring good quality. At Mid Valley, we offer farm fresh milk, which is delivered within 12 hours of milking. The Happy Tales milk produced at Mid Valley is untouched and toxic free,ā said MD, Mid Valley, Vijay Kumar.
The firm stated that its products would be delivered at the customer’s doorstep on a daily basis. Customers are to install a specially developed App on their phone and subscribe to it, which in turn would be inter phase between the customer and the company. The release also stated that the price of milk per litre stands at Rs 80.
