Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has declared seven days State mourning till 22 August as a mark of respect to departed former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

During this period there would be no official entertainment programmes, and the national flag would fly at half mast atop all government buildings, a government release said.

It said due to flood situation in some parts of the State, other than those involved in the relief work, schools, colleges and government offices would have holiday today.
