Blaring beats, fusion music, glittery lights and garish twirls all around — yes that’s how a typical Dandiya or Garba venue would be decked up in the city. As Navarathri is around the corner, would you, lovely ladies, not want to flaunt your ethnic wardrobe? Well, I hear a big no!

If you’re still mulling over festive trends, we, at News Today, heard you and are here to sort out your problem. Here’s a list of outfits that can occupy the prime space in your wardrobe. So, go ahead, read and replenish your collection.

HIGH-LOW KURTA

High-low or uneven hemline kurtas top the list of highly trending kurtas and pair it up with a skirt of contrast colour and dupatta. Wear a signature maang tikka and a pair of bangles, you are totally set to dance the night out! For more uninterrupted fun, you have the option to pair the kurta with a worked cigarette pant.

MANTLE-STYLE COVER-UPS

While womenfolk would be at their best with ethnic collections, wear an extra contemporary layering and stand tall and cool among the lot. Yes, you heard us right. Add some cover-ups such as capes, jackets and shrugs to your wardrobe and shock ’em during the festive night. It can be worn over a sleeveless or backless kurta and can be removed when the night turns out to be stuffy. Give a blending look to your gown or lehenga by wearing a cape. Heavy dangling earpieces and flashy bangles go well with the suit.

EMBELLISHED JACKETS

If you are a tomboy and want something classy, yet a fab outfit, just go for the jazzy night with an embroidered jacket of varying length and style. Coordinate your signature jacket with a plain skirt or palazzo pant with a crop top. Be more festive with a loop dangler and a tiny nose ring.

SIMPLE BLACK LEHENGA

It is always good to be back to some basic style of clothing. A black lehenga is the perfect choice for you if you are someone who does not want to dress up, yet show up at the jazzy night of celebration. Either opt for a plain one or with minimal embellishments. It is a versatile hue that can be collaborated with any kind of embellished pants or skirts and mutli-coloured dupatta. Alternatively, a black lehenga can be paired up with a golden or silvery spaghetti top and a black dupatta. If you prefer Indo-Western style of clothing, wear diamond studs and a stone bracelet or ring.

Chosen the one you like? You’re all set to rock the night on the dance floor. Heartwarming Navarathri greetings from us in advance!
